Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should we reserve the date?

Because dates for the year get filled pretty quickly it’s best to book at least 6-12 months in advance. Unfortunately I don’t accept bookings more than 12 months in advance. If you have a date in mind why don’t you let me know and I’ll be able to check if it’s available.

How can I book you?

Please check out the connect section above, tell me about your plans and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Once we have discussed your plans and everyone is happy you should pay the 25% non refundable booking fee, after which your date will be reserved.

Do you travel nationally and internationally?

I love traveling and would love to be part of your day no matter where in the world it may be. I’d love to hear about your plans.

Do you shoot anything besides weddings?

Yes. I also offer engagement and portrait sessions. Please ask me more about these in the connect section above.

What type of equipment do you use and do you have backups?

I use the latest professional gear from canon and always have a backup plan should anything break on the day.

How can I make sure that my photos turn out beautifully?

It’s best if you just relax, be yourself and enjoy your wedding day as much as possible. It’s important to ensure that you are free of any duties on your day so that these don’t cause you any stress. I highly recommend you use a wedding coordinator on the day to free yourself of responsibility.

To me as a photographer good light is the one of the most important aspects of my work. You can ensure that photos turn out beautifully by getting ready in a room that has lots of natural light (think big windows…). In the reception venue think about having atmospheric lighting (fairy lights, paper lamps, table lamps, candles etc…). These will help to add to the relaxed atmosphere among guests and ensure beautiful photos.

You could also ensure that the room that you get ready in is clean and clutter free.

Do you do family group shots?

I sure do! Before the wedding please make sure to send me a list of family combinations you would like to be photographed with, as well as someone in the bridal party that knows both sides of the family. They will help to gather the family after the ceremony.

Formal table shots?

As for table shots during the reception, unfortunately I don’t do individual table shots. It’s best if i’m allowed to blend in at the reception and take candid shots of people listening to speeches and enjoying themselves. Natural shots are my specialty. I recommend booking a photo-booth if you would like fun shots of all of the guests.

What happens after the wedding day?

Each image from your wedding is treated individually with love and care. You should receive your edited images within 8-12 weeks after your wedding day.

How many images should we expect to receive?

You will receive between 500-700  edited high resolution JPEG files

Can we have the unedited RAW files too?

Unfortunately I do not release the RAW files. These can be likened to unfinished works of art as they were not up to standard or they were similar to other better pictures. Please trust that I will select the best images representative of your wedding day.

Do you offer books?

Absolutely! If you are interested in these Fine Art albums please ask me for more info and I’ll tell you all about them.

Will my wedding feature on your blog?

Although I would love to have the time to blog about every wedding that I shoot, unfortunately I am only one person and this is simply not possible. I can’t guarantee that your wedding will be featured on my blog.
